
Congratulations to Cadet Corporal Mariana Pena on being selected as the cadet of the week. Mariana serves as a member of the Color Guard and works hard to support the community.


Mrs. Francisco's Cupcake Club met today, where students were introduced to three delightful cupcake designs. They had the opportunity to create two out of the three, and the results were fantastic! Everyone did an amazing job, and their cupcakes turned out beautifully.











In robotics, Mrs. Youngs' students are utilizing a popular game among children, Roblox, as a platform to teach them coding skills while engaging in an enjoyable activity.

Mrs. Richardson’s 8th grade Adv RLA class began poetry by identifying figurative language in poems using Black light annotations. The students enjoyed a Poetry lounge environment with coffee, hot chocolate, and soft music.





Students in Mrs. Hallman's art class worked last week to create pieces in the style of Pop Art. The top student or two from each class were then selected to transfer their image onto a ceiling tile from the classroom. They definitely exceeded expectations! Stay tuned to see Room 301 transform into a bright, lively space filled with awesome student work!

Ms. Higginbotham's 1st-period class has been diligently gathering text evidence all week to strengthen their arguments in preparation for the upcoming trial, where they will seek to convict the unnamed narrator from Poe's The Tell-Tale Heart.

Mrs. Corbridge's 8th grade health students are comparing healthy vs unhealthy options at different favorite fast restaurants.





Mrs. Coogler's EI3 students solving real world equations with variables on both sides using the Problem Solving Strategy.

Mrs. Richardsons' Adv. Reading has been studying different drama sets. Before independent choice board activities, students take time to collaborate in groups who are reading the same drama to share ideas, findings and connections.




Eighth-grade students in Mrs. Thomas's class are working on 'Who Am I?' questions about important people of the American Revolution.

8th grade Advanced History classes try flipped classroom method for note catcher. The class access a prerecorded lesson provided by the teacher and takes self paced notes on lesson information. The students can pause, re-listen, or slow down as needed. The lessons anchored with a class discussion with guided questions.



Mrs. Hallman's EI3 Mentor Group participates in CKH engage activities targeting the social-emotional well-being of students.
