Last week in art class, students explored the concept of Realism!
They participated in a hands-on activity where they rotated through different tables, each with a unique object to observe. Their challenge? Draw each item exactly as it appeared from their perspective—focusing on detail, proportion, and accuracy. A great exercise in observation and patience!

Our art students took on a bold challenge this week!
Inspired by Pop Art icon Andy Warhol, they created vibrant pieces using only the primary color scheme: red, blue, and yellow. To take it a step further, students painted their designs on ceiling tiles to help brighten up Room 301 with creativity and color. The results? Eye-catching, creative, and full of personality—just like Pop Art itself!

Mrs. Atwood gathered a few students for some extra tutorials to prepare for STAAR. They’re having a blast playing Jenga with review questions, mixing fun and learning in a great way!

Ms. Wheelers class did some jumping jacks as their warm up today to get their blood and brain pumping for their STAAR/ EOY review! The students all joined in and enjoyed the quick little brain break from all the hard work they’ve been doing to prepare for testing!

🌐 Classroom Update: Exploring the Internet vs. the World Wide Web 🌐
Today, Mrs Young's students are diving into an interactive activity to better understand the difference between the Internet and the World Wide Web. They’re using a fun, hands-on learning experience that’s guided by a Learning AI, encouraging student-led exploration and critical thinking.
What the students are working on today:
They will explore an online resource to learn about the Internet and the World Wide Web.
Students will take notes, interact with the content, and engage with the Learning AI to help guide their discovery.
Afterward, they will reflect on the difference between the two in their digital notebooks or in the comments on Canvas.
This activity is part of our ongoing focus on X-Plore (CKH), where we empower students to take initiative and responsibility in their learning. By using AI to enhance the hands-on experience, we’re helping students become more resourceful and independent in their educational journey.
Learning Outcome: By the end of the activity, students will be able to explain the difference between the Internet (the global network connecting devices) and the World Wide Web (the system used to browse websites), with examples
Thank you for your continued support in your child's learning journey! 🙌💻 #TechLearning #StudentLed #CKH #ClassroomUpdate

🌍✨ This week in class, our students are diving into a fun project where they’ll create a presentation about a country! From geography to cuisine, they’ll explore everything and add visuals to make it come alive. Through this project, students will not only showcase their creativity and research skills but also strengthen key aspects of CKH like initiative, responsibility, and collaboration. With our Empower focus, they’ll take full ownership of their work, demonstrating pride in what they create while supporting one another along the way. We can't wait to see the growth and creativity! 🙌🌎
